After I dropped Jo at the airport, Trey and I drove to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to dig for diamonds. We spent a good 4 hours shoveling dirt in a bucket and using sifters, positive that a huge diamond the size of the Hope Diamond was going to magically appear on our screen. Unfortunately, because it was Memorial Day Weekend, there were perhaps 1,000 other people there anticipating an identical outcome and, according to the gemologist on duty, not a single diamond was unearthed.
We drove the 500 miles back to St. Louis in one day, stopping occasionally to visit a Flea Market or Goodwill. As you can tell, I didn't have any interesting material to blog about, thus the absence of postings. I'll be back in California tomorrow night, Thank you for following on my silly adventure. I'm thinking that next year, I'll try something a little different like tornado chasing.
This is my 4th Ghost Hunting Adventure. I've stayed in approximately 50 haunted hotels and bed & breakfasts. Therefore, statistically, it is almost certain that I will see a ghost this time. Whether I get it on video for your viewing pleasure is, however, uncertain.

Effingham, Illinois
I wish we had something really scary or clever to share but there was no activity in the Bed and Breakfast in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Jo and I actually went in to the basement to see if we could conjure up a spirit or two. No such luck. When we got to Effington, we checked into the Comfort Suites Inn. They asked us if we wanted the Presidential Suite for another $25. We decided to go with the First Lady Suite for a mere $88. We required some wine and went to one of the few liquor stores in town. As we were leaving, the guy behind the counter asked us if we wanted to see a magic trick. It was the most amazing card trick we've ever seen. Tomorrow we will meet Trey back in St Louis and I will drop Jo off at the airport for her return trip. Not sure where I will be going next so may not post to the blog for a few days.

Mansfield Ohio to Ft Wayne Indiana
We slept in pretty late and left Mansfield Ohio with the anticipation of a short drive to Fort Wayne Indiana. We booked a room at the La Salle Bed and Breakfast (Bass House) whose claim to fame is that it is the 2nd oldest building in Ft Wayne and haunted as hell. As soon as we checked in and the "Inn Keeper" left us alone, I started my normal snoop through the building. I discovered a really creepy basement and immediately went down to check it out. I think that it will have more impact at 2 in the morning.

| Our room - home sweet home Here is the advertisement for the event we attended last night. We got to actually investigate which each of these individuals. |
We are both in love with Josh Gates from Destination Truth. What a sweetie!

| We love you Josh!! |
Tonight I will review the rest of the evidence from last night. I still have about 2 hours of audio to go over. Tomorrow I have given Jo a free day and night so to speak. She doesn't have to stay in a haunted hotel and we have no idea where we are going. We just have to be back in St Louis by Tuesday to catch her plane.

Ohio State Reformatory
We pretty much just got in and it's 2:00 in the morning. This will be a short post with more tomorrow We picked up a voice early in the event. I want to figure out a way to be able to post this EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). It's a man saying "no" to our request. We went into several dark creepy prison cells. Here was our favorite one.

Mansfield, Ohio
This is where we will be staying for the next two nights. It's close to the Ohio State Reformatory that we will be investigating tomorrow night.
Jeffersonville, Indiana
Jeffersonville, Indiana is right on the Ohio River across the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. As soon as my sister went to bed (9:00), I set up shop, whipped out the all of my ghost hunting equipment and got to work. I also experimented with all of the new "ghost hunting" apps on my phone. (probably a waste of money even if they're free) I did pick up some heavy breathing on my recorder but it turned out to be me. Here's where we stayed
The owner told us that they have several spirits here including ghost dogs and cats. We however, did not see one single entity. I did, however, detect several ghosts on my "ghost radar" app. It alerts you to the presence of spirits and tells you exactly where they are on radar. A very valuable piece of equipment. I wouldn't leave home without it.
I'm detecting some skepticism
Well, we are finally on our way to Mansfield Ohio where tomorrow we will join the cast of "Ghost Hunters" to investigate the Ohio State Reformatory. You should google it. What a spooky looking place!!

I may have hit the jackpot
When we arrived at the Lemp Mansion, our friend Trey was waiting for us. After we got back from dinner, I went to work on my investigation. Trey and Jo Anne sat in the room and talked for hours.
I met 3 gentlemen who were there to investigate as well. We had identical equipment. I
think I have died and gone to heaven. I am posting a picture that we caught directly outside my room. Tell me what you think.

We are now leaving my office at McDonalds and heading to Jeffersonville, Indiana, directly across the Ohio River from Louieville, Kentucky to stay in another haunted B & B.
